Mac Jones explains dirty play on Brian Burns

Carolina Panthers fans are furious with Mac Jones and it's easy to see why. On Sunday, Jones grabbed Brian Burns' leg after he forced a fumble and twisted him, resulting in Burns falling to the ground in a ton of pain.
People are blasting Jones for what sure looked to be a dirty play. Well, the Pats QB has come out and defended himself, claiming he was just trying to make a tackle.
Mac Jones on @MerloniFauria on the Brian Burns play: "After I got hit pretty hard, I didn't know exactly what was going on. I thought he had the ball, and it was my job to make the tackle."

"I didn't mean to hurt anybody or anything like that. I was just trying to tackle him."
Video of the play really isn't a good look for Jones. While he may have indeed been trying to make a tackle, he needs to be smarter than this.
