VIDEO: Manny Ramirez Tutoring David Ortiz's Son on Hitting Will Make All Red Sox Fans Emotional

When you think about some of MLB's most electric hitters in recent years, two Boston-based names will certainly come to mind: David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez. The Red Sox teammates formed one powerful hitting duo for many years in Beantown, and now, Ramirez is instructing Ortiz's son on how to follow in their footsteps.
The retired legends recently met up a batting cage for a workout, and Ortiz's son, D'Angelo, was there to participate as well. While it is difficult to make out Ramirez's exact words, Ortiz writes that Ramirez was letting his son "know the baseball mindset." Ramirez would certainly have a thing or two to say about that.
Ramirez is not the only one providing pointers to D'Angelo either. As expected, Ortiz himself has offered more than a few nuggets to his son as he hopes to become a professional player like his father. A backyard hitting session between the two was shown on Instagram a month ago.
At the age of just 15, D'Angelo has already showed signs of embarking on an MLB career himself. Set to graduate in 2022, D'Angelo has received high praise from his father, who told the Boston Globe a couple months ago, "[He’s] got good thunder. He’s got power. He’s very good defensively."
While it is still early, D'Angelo may become the next baseball face of the Ortiz family. His latest tips from Ramirez indicate that he is clearly getting notes from all the right places.
