Marcus Cannon Shows Up at Last Second After Patriots Faked Out Their Fans With Marshall Newhouse
By Michael Luciano

New England Patriots offensive tackle and veteran NFL journeyman Marshall Newhouse, who has contributed to the struggles of the Pats' line, sauntered onto the field before Sunday's game and Pats Nation groaned in unison.
Newhouse appeared to be getting the start at right tackle on Sunday, even after the return of Isaiah Wynn, as his former TCU teammate Marcus Cannon wasn't out on the field pregame. Cannon missed practice on Friday with an illness.
One potential development for the Patriots' offensive line in warmups: No sign of starting right tackle Marcus Cannon. That has thrust Marshall Newhouse into the top unit during warmups. Cannon had missed Friday's practice with an illness.

However, just before kickoff...there came Cannon, a late-edition godsend.
Marcus Cannon is on the field.

Newhouse, who spent last season with the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers, has received a 61.0 grade from Pro Football Focus. He figured to move back to the bench after Wynn returned to full health.

I'm not seeing Marcus Cannon on the field
Newhouse is the NFL's ultimate cockroach. No matter what you do or how he plays, he always latches on to a contending team and is forced into action. The offensive line version of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Hopefully, for New England, if he has to, he can tread water against the likes of Demarcus Lawrence and Robert Quinn.
Doesn't look like he'll have to, though.
