Marcus Morris Hit With Monster Fine as NBA Levies Suspensions for Knicks-Grizzlies Fight
By Adam Weinrib

The NBA doled out suspensions to both sides over the late-game extracurriculars between Memphis and New York on Wednesday night.
But looking at their fines, it's clear where the league's priorities lie.
On a night made even stranger by Marcus Morris' misogynistic postgame comments referring to Jae Crowder as feminine, the Knicks' aggressor was fined $35,000, $10,000 more than Crowder, who was far more prominently involved in the fracas.
From New York/Memphis: Knicks' Elfrid Payton and Memphis' Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marko Guduric each suspended one game. Marcus Morris fined $35,000; Jae Crowder fined $25,000.

Elfrid Payton, the Knick who initially went after Crowder with under a minute remaining, received a one-game suspension.
Morris extended the drama to the postgame media scrum, of course, calling Crowder's histrionics "female tendencies," continuing a troubling hyper-masculine trend of associating weakness and things they don't like with the female sex.
Nuggets fans hoping Denver trades for Marcus Morris need to watch this clip.

The Knicks head to Memphis to take on the Grizz on April 1, and hopefully there won't be any additional fools in the building -- Morris will be on a contender, at that point, if New York's front office has any sense.
