Marcus Peters Sends Fire Tweet After Celebratory Beer Cost Him $14K
By Jerry Trotta

Given the NFL's laughable sensitivity and strict handbook, we, unfortunately, saw this coming.
Last Sunday, cornerback Marcus Peters secured the Ravens' 24-17 win over the Bills by batting down a pass on a fourth-down play with a shade over a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.
Peters subsequently celebrated his heroics by jumping into a section of Ravens fans who embraced him as he poured a beer down his gullet. Well, the NFL responded on Saturday by fining the two-time Pro Bowler a sum of $14,037 for violating the league's unsportsmanlike conduct policy.

Apparently, the beer can qualifies for celebrating with a prop, which the NFL prohibits.
Whether or not you agree with the punishment doesn't matter because we don't doubt for a second that Peters would do it again if it meant another fine would be sent his way.
Why do we feel this way? Because Peters unleashed a perfect tweet moments after finding out about his fine.

That's about as good of a way as any to stick it to the NFL, and we are absolutely here for it.
After all, Peters attempting to chug a beer, of which 80 percent spilled onto his jersey and the fans surrounding him, undoubtedly qualifies as one of the moments of the 2019 season.
