Marcus Stroman Reveals His New Number With Mets on Twitter

The New York Mets acquired Marcus Stroman from the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday, in a blockbuster deal that shocked the baseball world.

Stroman, a Long Island native, seems pumped to be going home, and now he's revealed what number he will be rocking in Queens.

It looks like Stroman will no longer be wearing the No. 6 that fans have grown accustomed to seeing in Toronto, as the next chapter of his career will see him wear No. 7.

Stroman was dealt for a pair of pitching prospects, Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods-Richardson, and while there were rumors that the Mets might try to trade him again before the deadline, it looks as if he's set to stay put in Flushing.

We can't wait to see Stroman strutting his stuff with confidence at Citi Field, and dressed with his the new-look digit on the back of his jersey. It looks like Kevin Durant is not the only athlete coming to New York with plans to don the No. 7.
