Marcus Stroman's Latest Comments Will Have Mets Fans Pumped for 2nd Half of Season
By Scott Rogust

The New York Mets single-handedly hijacked the MLB trade deadline after acquiring Toronto Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman, when many believed the team would be sellers.
Instead, general manager Brodie Van Wagenen bought in, and now, the Mets have a stud starting rotation, sitting just a handful of games behind a Wild Card spot.
Stroman flew into Chicago for the Mets' series against the White Sox, and he's expected to make his debut in the coming days. When speaking with the media, the 28-year-old said he's looking forward to one thing, and that's helping the Mets make the playoffs.
Marcus Stroman said he is "looking forward to making the playoffs this year.”

How can a Mets fan not be hyped hearing this from Stroman?
The Mets entered Wednesday night on a five-game winning streak, and thus gave the organization confidence in their abilities to make a playoff push.
Many thought the Mets would move Noah Syndergaard or Zack Wheeler. Van Wagenen set a high asking price for both hurlers, and no one bit.
Crazy excited to join this @Mets starting rotation. They’re already extremely dangerous. Can’t wait to add to that!

In the final two months of the season, the Mets will have a starting rotation consisting of Stroman, Syndergaard, Wheeler, Jacob DeGrom, and Steven Matz, as they look to rise from fourth-place in the NL East.
With that combination of pitchers, the Mets may very well shock the world and clinch a playoff berth, something no one expected over a week ago.
