Mariners make statement with series win over Yankees

Here come the Mariners! While the fanbase has grown so used to the Yankees dominating them in recent years, the opposite was the case this week. With the Yankees in town, the Mariners were able to take two out of three from the Bronx Bombers.

The Wednesday showdown featured a come-from-behind win, highlighted by the two-run homer from veteran lefty Carlos Santana.

The Yankees are in the middle of a rough stretch and the Mariners have made things even worse for them. Things will be quite interesting if these two squads end up meeting in the postseason. Stay tuned to see if that happens.
