Marlins Are Bringing Back the Dinger Machine and Setting it Off Outside the Stadium
By Parker White

Remember that hideous sculpture that was in center field at Marlins Park? Well, it was removed last year by Derek Jeter, but whether you like it or not, it's coming back.
Luckily, it won't be inside Marlins Park, but the sculpture will set up camp outside the stadium and continue its tradition of setting forth massive explosions after home runs.
Homer the home-run sculpture slowly coming back to life outside Marlins Park after Derek Jeter struck a deal with Miami-Dade to exile the county-owned sculpture from its former home behind the outfield. And, of course, it'll pop off at 3:05 each and every day to celebrate Miami's area code.
The sculpture was included in the $3 billion the taxpayers had to pay for the new stadium, so I guess it needs to exist. Even though it was an eyesore for most, there are some fans who are glad it's coming back, even if it's setting up shop outside the ballpark.
As a dedicated member of #TeamHomerunSculpture I will no longer attend any Marlins game inside the stadium. Instead, i'll stream outside next to the sculpture and wait for a home run so i can watch this beauty go into action https://t.co/wIPyn5Qnnw

Derek Jeter giveth, and Derek Jeter taketh away. This thing is en route back to its rightful home -- well beyond the wall, and not distracting to the batter.
