VIDEO: Marshawn Lynch Gave Incredibly Typical Press Conference on First Day Back With Seahawks
By Scott Rogust
The football world was shaken to its core by a "Beast Quake" on the west coast late Monday night. After losing starting running backs Chris Carson and CJ Prosise on Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks immediately contacted Marshawn Lynch, convinced him to come out of retirement, and sign on for the regular season finale and playoffs. With Lynch already at team practice, the squad held a press conference with the entertaining running back on Christmas Eve. And, of course, it was the most Marshawn Lynch-style presser you've ever seen, and it lasted all of 12 seconds.
Lynch has made a career of being brief with the media, providing just one-word answers before waltzing off. No one should really be surprised by this.
The Seahawks were put in quite the predicament after their 17-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Entering their Week 17 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, with the NFC West title on the line, the team had rookie Travis Homer as the only active running back.
Now, those worries have been quelled by the return of Marshawn Lynch, who proved to be a great Christmas gift for Seahawks fans around the world.
Merry New Year, everybody!
