Marshawn Lynch Had Perfect Comment on What Impresses Him Most About Seahawks Rookie DK Metcalf
By Jerry Trotta
Jadeveon Clowney's controversial hit that knocked Carson Wentz out of Sunday's clash between the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles was the prominent talking point of the Wild Card slate, and rightfully so.
However, even that play couldn't overshadow the sheer dominance of wideout DK Metcalf, who shredded Philly's secondary all game long.
The rookie's efforts impressed Marshawn Lynch, and when the vet tailback was asked to provide his thoughts on Metcalf's most compelling attribute, he, to nobody's surprise, lauded the wideout's chiseled frame and elusiveness.
The NFL is just such a better place when Lynch is behind the microphone and bouncing off would-be tacklers.
Beastmode's assessment, though far from thorough, is entirely accurate. The 6-4, 229-pound Metcalf popped off against the Eagles, hauling in seven of nine targets for 160 yards and a touchdown.
None of those receptions, however, were more important than his spectacular catch with less than two minutes remaining that sealed Seattle's victory.
Lynch's description of what makes Metcalf such a unique specimen couldn't have been spoken any better. He kept it simple, but his message was certainly received.
