Mason Crosby Flew Back to See Grieving Family After Dominant Win Sunday and Took Game Ball With Him
By Chris Pyo

Earlier this week, we sadly learned that Brittany Crosby, the sister-in-law of Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, passed away due to ovarian cancer.
After flying home to Texas to mourn with his brother, Rees, Crosby met the Packers back in New Jersey to face off against the New York Giants today, kicked four extra points and a field goal in a 31-13 win, and immediately flew back home to rejoin his family with the game ball in hand.

Crosby was definitely out there kicking for his sister-in-law and his brother, and he was perfect in less-than-ideal conditions, as MetLife Stadium was covered in snow and ice.
Brittany’s life inspired us all. She never let cancer define what her life would look like. She lived this life on purpose and uplifted. I know she is climbing the highest mountains in heaven. The love Brittany and my bro @recrosby33 share is eternal. pic.twitter.com/OQ6LMGSYcm

Three years ago, the Green Bay Packers started a franchise initiative called the "Packers vs. Cancer Campaign," which is understandably close to Crosby's heart considering he's a team spokesperson for the initiative.
Over the summer, Crosby's wife, Molly, underwent successful surgery to remove a carcinoid endocrine tumor from her lung. With news of Brittany's death, the Packers will definitely continue to push their initiative in the future with the hopes of raising money and increasing awareness for all forms of cancer.
Mason Crosby told the media he’s flying back to Austin to be with his family tonight. Said this team and his faith have gotten him through the passing of his sister-in-law.

Our thoughts are with the Crosby family as they continue to mourn the loss of Brittany.
