Mason Rudolph Has Perfect Response to Steelers Fans Booing Him During 1st Quarter Against Dolphins
By Jerry Trotta

Football fans across the country were left stunned when significant road underdogs, the Miami Dolphins, jumped out to a 14-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
Mike Tomlin's side came out alarmingly stagnant as they were getting trounced at virtually every level of the field by the winless Fins, and that poor showing forced a profusion of fans at Heinz Field to rain down some boo birds.
As we know, the Steelers overcame their sluggish start to score 27 unanswered points to complete the comeback and improve to 3-4 on the year. Well, after the W, Mason Rudolph was asked for his thoughts on the jeering, and the young gunslinger delivered a perfect response.

“I would’ve booed that performance too. We were coming out slow. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s a standard here.”
Say what you will about Rudolph's limited upside as an NFL quarterback, but the manner in which he conducts himself and views the Steelers organization should absolutely be admired.
The Oklahoma State product isn't making excuses for his team and they responded with a dominant showing in the final three quarters. Rudolph, who finished 20-of-36 for 251 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, discussed Pittsburgh's perseverance after the game:

Steelers fans couldn't have asked for a better reaction from Rudolph and they should definitely be at peace with the concept of him being under center for the remainder of 2019.
He's showing the characteristics of a leader, and his bounce-back performance on Monday night shows that he is more than capable of dealing with the outside noise.
