Matt Barnes Never Claiming His Warriors NBA Championship Ring is Kind of Amazing
By Alexander Wolz

Winning an NBA title is something players in the league will never forget. Perhaps even more emotional is being given your championship ring. The Golden State Warriors have earned six rings in their franchise history, three of which came in the last five years. Matt Barnes knows all about the 2017 honor.
But, the man doesn't have bling to celebrate the unforgettable series victory?
Matt Barnes doesn't believe he earned being an NBA champion, so he never accepted the ring he won with the Warriors.

But where is it?https://t.co/HgjCiEVr1x pic.twitter.com/10QGdOGU08
Speaking on his very own "All the Smoke" podcast, Barnes discussed his ring he never accepted.
"Worst ankle sprain of my life," he said. "I’m not healthy until the end of the second round when they’re already 8-0. So me being a vet knowing they’re not going to change the rotation, I’m not expecting them to change the rotation, I’m just going to sit here and be a super vet."
Barnes continued, "I didn’t sweat. I wasn’t in the mother f--king dog hole with these dudes ... I didn’t get to guard LeBron. I got a free ride, I got a free ring."
Many would jump at the opportunity to hold a championship ring, let alone own it. Despite Barnes' contributions, which were sizeable when he was healthy, he feels that he did not earn it. You have to respect him for that, despite the fact that many of us would snatch at that ring even if we never stepped foot on the court.

That 2017 season, however, likely would have never been possible if it were not for the 'We Believe' Warriors of 2007. Barnes and the rest of us will relive the glory of that team with a documentary in the near future.
Maybe that will be even better for Barnes as he certainly earned the series upset over the Mavericks. He is missing out on quite a ring, though.
