VIDEO: Former Laker Matt Barnes Rips FS1's Jason Whitlock for Disrespecting Kobe Bryant

There has been an outpour of positivity and memorializing in the wake of former NBA Legend Kobe Bryant's death from former athletes, celebrities and common folk alike. However, some people, such as Jason Whitlock, never gave Bryant the resect he deserved until after his untimely death. Matt Barnes, a retired NBA player and former Lakers teammate of Kobe's, stuck up for Bryant in the aftermath of his passing by ripping Whitlock and accusing him of being a hypocrite.
From this day forward I’m referring to Matt as my favorite cousin. pic.twitter.com/BsXvdqzfUV

Barnes has never shied away from controversy throughout his career, and hasn't stopped since he left the league. However, we are 100% with him on this one. Since the death of Bryant, Whitlock has done a complete 360 degree turnaround, going from being a frequent critic of the Laker great to offering his sympathies and pretending to have held him in high regard.
Jason Whitlock is a piece of shit. Spent years trashing Kobe for everything he did and now he switched up....fakes pic.twitter.com/XAJ3ZPExtF

What disrespect from the analyst. It seems the only reason he gets air time is because of his controversial statements.
One of the worst parts about Kobe’s death is when you have scumbags like Jason Whitlock who spent 2 decades spewing venom and getting rich off a vindictive hatred for Kobe but all of a sudden praising him like he loved him ? pic.twitter.com/oiIiZSWa6l

Whitlock made a career off of hating on Bryant during his Laker days. Now all of a sudden he is a huge fan of him? Good for Matt Barnes for calling out the fake love that Whitlock is giving.
