Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford may not be in the best of shape entering an anticipated shootout against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The 11th-year quarterback is apparently questionable to play with a hip injury, according to Ian Rapoport, who reports that Stafford was a limited participant at Friday's practice.

The Lions sit at 2-0-1 after an upset 27-24 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field last weekend. Stafford went 18-of-32 for 201 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.

If Stafford is unable to go on Sunday, would likely turn to backup David Blough to step into the starting role. Blough has never taken an NFL snap, but played four seasons at Purdue where he amassed 69 touchdown passes and just under 10,000 passing yards.

Matt Patricia and the Lions will surely hope Stafford's hip doesn't prevent him from suiting up, but his late emergence on the injury report doesn't bode well for his availability.

The Week 4 matchup will already be tough for the Lions considering the Chiefs' high-octane offense, but not having their starting quarterback for the contest would make it near impossible for Detroit.
