Mavs Coach Rick Carlisle Paid Tribute to Kobe Bryant by Rocking "Chaos" Kobe 5s
By Scott Rogust

It's only been two days, so naturally the loss of Kobe Bryant still hurts for everyone in the basketball world, from players and coaches to fans across the globe.
After news broke that Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed in a helicopter accident on Sunday, various tributes were shown on the NBA hardwood, whether it was 24-second shot violations or wearing Bryant's jersey number in pregame warmups.
On Tuesday night, Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle honored Bryant by wearing the "Chaos" Kobe 5 sneakers during the team's game against the Phoenix Suns.

The ultimate form of respect from Carlisle.
In fact, prior to the game, Carlisle wore the kicks to a media session, where he said he'd try to get more pairs of the sneaker.
Carlisle knew firsthand just how great Bryant was, considering the two faced off in the Western Conference for years. But there was a mutual respect, as there was with a variety of Bryant's foes in the past. Carlisle himself said teams had to play at a higher level in order to stand a chance against Bryant's Lakers.

The Mavericks already had the highest honor for Bryant by retiring his jersey No. 24. Carlisle decided to further pay respect to the "Black Mamba" by rocking his "Chaos" kicks to pair with his two-piece suit, and we salute him for that.
