Mecole Hardman Calls Out PETA for Bizarre Anti-UGA Tweet

The Georgia Bulldog, Uga, is one of the most beloved animal mascots in all of sports. However, leave it to PETA to try and stir up some controversy regarding the Bulldogs' live mascot.

The animal rights activist group tweeted out a video of Uga sitting in a dog house during a rainy game. The organization claimed the dog looked "miserable" before attempting to blast the University for bringing him to games, rather than leaving him with a loving family.

Former Bulldogs star and current Chiefs wideout Mecole Hardman saw the tweet and shut down PETA's take with a quick yet effective response.

Hardman told PETA to delete their tweet, vouching that the program treats the dog extremely well.

Despite PETA demanding Georgia retire Uga X as a mascot, Hardman, as well as many Bulldog fans, came to the support of the university.

From the looks of this video response, Uga might get the best treatment of any member of the Bulldogs' program.

Sorry, PETA, it looks like your desperate attempt to undermine the use of live animal mascots has failed, considering Uga is beloved by just about everyone within Georgia's program.
