Mets Add Gigantic Chick-fil-A Ads to Foul Poles Just in Time for Pride Night
By James.r

The New York Mets make plenty of strange business decisions, and they just added another one. With money (ever-presumably) tight for owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon, they apparently couldn't help making some ugly additions to the foul poles to bolster advertising revenue.
These bizarre Chick-fil-A advertisements come just three weeks in advance of the Mets' annual pride night, a portion of ticket sales for which they will donate to an LGBT profit.

Unfortunately, pride night isn't even on a Sunday, so the foul poles will be open for business. Considering Chick-fil-A's long and outspoken history as opposers of LGBTQ rights, this seems like a poorly-timed choice on the part of the Mets organization.
Wilpon: “You know, let’s table the Seaver statue for now. We can come back to that later. Can I see the Chik-fil-A renderings again? Wow that’s gorgeous. How soon can we get these in place?”

The Wilpons are well-known for being among the worst owners in sports, so this is hardly a surprise. The Mets season has devolved into more of a joke each week this year, and these new eyesore advertisements are only the newest volume in their incompetency.
