Mets-Cardinals Spring Training Opener is Being Broadcast From the Worst Possible Angle
By Michael Luciano
Spring Training is a perfect opportunity for networks to try out a couple different changes to their broadcast in order to make the television product a bit more appealing.
FOX Sports St. Louis learned the hard way that this angle from the Cardinals' Spring Training opener against the New York Mets is not something that should stay in the permanent rotation.
Can someone maybe tell the camera guy to zoom out just a little bit? This is totally brutal. Tommy Edman is taking up 20% of the screen. You can't even see the strike zone or catcher's glove.
There's a reason that no one has tried to make this angle work before. It's simply brutal.
We're all for shaking up the broadcast and showing us a bunch of non-traditional angles to spice up the game, but how about we file this one away in the "let's never do this again" category?
