Mets SP Marcus Stroman Changes Jersey to No. 0 Ahead of 2020 Season

Marcus Stroman was traded to the New York Mets last season and wore the No. 7 upon arrival.
After the season the star pitcher declared he wanted to change his number because he felt Jose Reyes was the best No. 7 to ever wear a Mets uniform. Stroman revealed his new number over the offseason and it became official when the Mets broke camp.

Stroman highlights a list of new numbers for Mets fans to learn in 2020. He will be rocking the No. 0 as he enters his first full season with the Mets.
Dominic Smith is also changing numbers, swapping out the No. 22 for the No. 2.

All the new numbers for the team should remind Mets fans of the new names in town. Add in Stroman getting a full year with the team and the Mets could be a contender in 2020. He showed flashes of success with a 3.77 ERA in 11 starts upon switching to the National League.
Actual baseball news is a nice distraction for Mets fans from the failed ownership sale and Carlos Beltran's firing before he managed a single game.
