Mets Minor League Team's Fireworks Display Starts Fire Outside Stadium Because They're the Mets
By Sam Dunn

What on earth is happening down in Port St. Lucie?!? The St. Lucie Mets, the Class-A Advanced minor league affiliate of the New York Mets, decided it would be fun to treat their fans to a fireworks show to mark the 4th of July. However, Florida gonna Florida. Look what freaking happened behind the stadium in the midst of the pyrotechnics:
The fireworks for the St. Lucie Mets did not go well tonight at First Data Field. They set a fire outside the stadium.

Ummm... is this the apocalypse?
Seriously, we need to know exactly which #FloridaMan is responsible for allowing this to happen. It just feels so preventable. Hot, dry conditions are the kind that get fireworks shows postponed or canceled; clearly, the St. Lucie Mets tried to live on the razor's edge here.
It was a bad idea.
@stluciemets thanks for the #fire #works and the W!! pic.twitter.com/New7JSfPiH

Gotta say, there's no hotter team in Class-A ball right now.
