Mets Minor League Team's Fireworks Display Starts Fire Outside Stadium Because They're the Mets
By Sam Dunn
What on earth is happening down in Port St. Lucie?!? The St. Lucie Mets, the Class-A Advanced minor league affiliate of the New York Mets, decided it would be fun to treat their fans to a fireworks show to mark the 4th of July. Ummm... is this the apocalypse?
Seriously, we need to know exactly which #FloridaMan is responsible for allowing this to happen. It just feels so preventable. Hot, dry conditions are the kind that get fireworks shows postponed or canceled; clearly, the St. Lucie Mets tried to live on the razor's edge here.
It was a bad idea.

Gotta say, there's no hotter team in Class-A ball right now.
