Pete Alonso Asking for 50k Retweets to Start Awesome Player MLB Video Game
By Jerry Trotta

Like most players around the MLB, New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso can't seem to stop thinking about baseball amid the league's indefinite hiatus.
Well, Alonso has unsurprisingly decided to put that energy to good use. The 25-year-old wants to start competing against Mets teammates and other players around the league in MLB The Show. He even wants to live stream the games for fans.
The kicker? Alonso wants fans to show interest in his idea and he is asking for 50,000 retweets before he downloads the video game.
50k retweets and I’ll download MLB The Show 20 and challenge teammates and other guys around the league. I’d figure out a way to stream as well!

With most people around the country finally beginning to self-distance, they are likely itching for some form of entertainment. What would be better than watching some of baseball's biggest stars go head-to-head in the iconic video game?
The Polar Bear deservers credit for this truly awesome idea. Even MLB The Show is on board.
Would love that!

Spread the word and help Alonso get to 50,000! If we push hard enough, the 30,000 or so retweets (as of this writing) that he still needs can get done by the end of the day.
