Mets Top Prospect Josh Wolf Spotted Rocking Astros Gear at World Series Game 1
By Adam Weinrib
18-year-old Mets second-round hurler Josh Wolf is a Houston native, recent Texas A&M commit, and elite gunslinger.
It's safe to assume he's an Astros fan by birth, in that case, and only recently switched his allegiance to the team that's now signing his paychecks--minimal as they may be, at the minor league level.
So, we can't begrudge Wolf for being caught right behind home plate at Game 1 of the World Series, rocking what's technically the wrong variety of orange.
Tough one to take for Mets fans, who sort of wish they were in this thing, instead. Ultimately, it's a body blow you have to take, though. Love of your childhood team lasts forever...until you have to beat them in a key spot.
For those wondering what Wolf's arsenal looks like, we've got you covered.
Not bad, kid. Watch Gerrit Cole and learn.
This all seems innocent enough, but perhaps one Mets fan was correct to point out a subtle secondary angle.
Is this the bombshell candidate we were promised? You simply can't rule it out.
