The New York Mets are yet another MLB team engulfed in controversy this offseason. Between Carlos Beltran's firing and the back-and-forth between Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler and Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen, this team has been in dire need of some sort of a light-hearted distraction. Well, we can all thank the team's pitching staff for that. They trolled Noah Syndergaard by warming up shirtless on Saturday.

Now, the rest of the Mets' pitching staff knows what it's like to be Thor.

What's the point of practicing in Florida if you're wearing a shirt?

The irony here, however? Syndergaard was actually wearing a shirt while all of this was going down.

With new manager Luis Rojas in town after Beltran's dismissal, it's as crucial as ever for this team to come together and get on the same page before the 2020 season. There are high expectations surrounding the Mets, and in a stacked NL East, they're going to need every possible edge. Solidifying team chemistry this early is a good start.
