First pitch is scheduled for 7:20 PM ET and will be broadcast on SportsNet New York and SportSouth, with additional streams available on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Mets Lineup
Shortstop Amed Rosario is atop the Mets' starting lineup with a .275 batting average and 12 home runs this year. Rosario's 12 homers are the most he's hit in a single season in his three-year MLB career. The Mets will be without Jeff McNeil as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. In his stead, Ruben Tejada was promoted and will play second base. He hits seventh on Wednesday.
Steven Matz is slated as today's starting pitcher, and has a 5-1 record against Atlanta with a 3.61 ERA. On the year, Matz has struggled with consistency. He owns a 7-7 record with a 4.49 ERA and 104 strikeouts across 110.1 innings of work and 23 appearances (21 starts).
Braves Lineup
The Braves have the opportunity to snag the series win against the Mets and halt the momentum New York has going. Ronald Acuña Jr. will assume the leadoff role for Atlanta. He's sneaking up on Christian Yelich and Cody Bellinger in the NL MVP race, and is just two steals shy of a 30-30 season, having already clubbed 34 home runs, including nine in the month of August.
Dallas Keuchel will look to get back on track as the Braves' starting pitcher allowed eight runs on 10 hits over 3.2 innings against the Marlins last week. On the year he's 3-5 with a 4.83 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.
