Mets vs Nationals MLB Live Stream Reddit for Game 2 of Series
By Joey Mauceri
The New York Mets (20-20) and Washington Nationals (16-25) will square off tonight in game two of a three game series at Nationals Park.
The Mets took game one last night after Wilson Ramos slugged a first inning grand slam and Noah Syndergaard pitched eight excellent innings of two run ball. New York would end up taking game one by a final score of 6-2.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is slated for 7:05pm ET. The game will be broadcast on MSN2 and SNY, live streaming will be available a few minutes before first pitch on the MLB streams subreddit.
Mets Lineup
Jeff McNeil, the on-base machine, will lead off for the Mets. J.D. Davis is at the hot corner and batting second, followed by veteran second baseman Robbie Canó and Pete Alonso.
Taking the mound for the Queens-based team is Wilmer Font. He's set to log his second start of the year, having last 4.0 innings and surrendering 2 earned runs on 3 hits in his first start in New York. He had recently been acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Mets offense is still looking to turn things around, despite some excellent individual seasons so far from Pete Alonso, Michael Conforto, and Jeff McNeil, New York's offense ranks 19th in the major leagues in runs scored. Robinson Cano and Wilson Ramos have both been disappointing, both with an OPS south of .700. Wilmer Font will get the ball tonight in his second start as a Met, looking to notch his first victory.
Nationals Lineup
Adam Eaton starts in right field and leads things off for the home team, with Victor Robles up second and Anthony Rendon in the three-hole. Juan Soto is batting cleanup, ahead of Howie Kendrick who is in at first base.
On the mound is lefty Patrick Corbin who has posted a 3.20 ERA with 58 strikeouts across 50.2 innings of work. He's 3-1 on the season through his first 8 starts.
The Nationals have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league to start the season. The team has stumbled to a slow start, largely due to injuries to key players such as Ryan Zimmerman, Trea Turner Rendon and Soto. Hopefully as players return to the mix, the Nats can regain some ground in the NL East.
