Miami withdraws from Sun Bowl due to COVID

Unfortunately for the Miami Hurricanes, they're not going to be headed to El Paso after all. Next week, the Canes were all set to take on the Washington State Cougars in the Sun Bowl. Instead, that won't happen.
On Sunday evening, the school announced they've had to withdraw from the action due to their COVID outbreak. This of course is a major bummer.
Miami has to withdraw from Sun Bowl because of COVID issues, bowl sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. It’s unknown if Sun Bowl can find a replacement to play Washington State, which arrived in El Paso earlier today

Now, Washington State will have to wait and see if a replacement school can come in and face them come Dec. 31. For now, Jake Dickert and Co. will have to see how things end up going down here.
