VIDEO: Michael Jordan References Infamous 'Crying Jordan' Meme During Kobe Bryant Memorial

The Kobe Bryant Memorial took place Monday afternoon at Staples Center and featured touching tributes and speeches from some of Bryant's closest companions. Michael Jordan was one of the individuals to take to the podium and discuss his relationship with the late Lakers legend, and a misty-eyed MJ was unable to hold back tears. Well, in order to lighten the mood a little bit, Jordan joked that he'd have to look at another "crying meme" for the next few years.

He said he told his wife he didn't want to cry and create a new Crying Jordan meme, but said, "That is what Kobe Bryant does to me."

His speech during the Bryant Memorial showed a more heartfelt side of Jordan than must are accustomed to seeing. Addressing the viral Crying Jordan meme was certainly a crowd pleaser and Jordan managed to put a smile on the faces of the grieving audience members.

Jordan may have officially retired the meme with his speech Monday by showing a more vulnerable side of himself. He has forever attached it to this emotional speech.
