Michael Jordan's Son Marcus Trolls Him on Twitter Over Turning Down $100 Million Payday
By Nick Porr

Michael Jordan is a busy, busy man. From doing interviews for the Chicago Bulls documentary "The Last Dance" to running the Charlotte Hornets as majority owner, the NBA's GOAT keeps himself active in retirement. When your schedule is that packed, there just isn't time for everything -- even events that would net you a check for a nine (!) figures.
In an interview on CNN, MJ's agent, David Falk, mentioned one proposed deal he approached Jordan with in 2017: a two-hour appearance worth $100 million. Jordan turned the deal down.
When his son, Marcus, saw the headline Saturday afternoon, his Twitter reaction was priceless.
Shoooot, shoulda hit my line!! I coulda finessed this?“?Dad, I got a huge event imma need you to slide to??? https://t.co/YiWusZUSYw

Finding out your father missed out on an easy $100 million2 is tough news for almost anyone to take. In Marcus' case, though, the Jordan family's unimpeachable largesse allowed him to simply laugh it off.
An NBA legend with business success to match, Michael Jordan steadily ascended to being one of the wealthiest people in the world. After dominating on the hardwood, Jordan has continued to make major money through his Jordan Brand within the Nike empire, big-money endorsements, and his ownership of the Hornets. As of 2019, Jordan's net worth was close to $2 billion, according to Forbes.

When you have that much money, $100 million isn't strictly necessary for your survival. A billionaire like Jordan may be able to turn that amount down -- though his son gladly would have stepped in as a late replacement if the opportunity was there.
