Michael Thomas Sends Emotional Tweet After Sudden Death of Sports Reporter Carley McCord

On Saturday, the death of sports reporter Carley McCord shocked us all, as she perished in a plane crash. McCord was on her way to attend the LSU vs. Oklahoma College Football Playoff game, as her father-in-law, Steve Ensminger, is the OC of the LSU Tigers.
McCord was known throughout the New Orleans sports community, as she was the in-game host and media member for the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans. Saints wide receiver and perennial Pro Bowl candidate Michael Thomas sent an emotional tweet after hearing of McCord's passing.
So sad to hear the news about Carley McCord she was always very excited and happy. The worst part is I saw her reporting yesterday as I was leaving home in the parking lot. Really sad, life is so short ? really wish I could do something ??.

After hearing the awful news, the NFL's New Orleans Saints and NBA's New Orleans Pelicans also released a joint statement about the passing of their media team member.

Ensminger appears to not have told the LSU players about his daughter-in-law's passing before the Peach Bowl. That led to this reaction by LSU's Heisman-winning QB Joe Burrow after the team's dominant victory over Oklahoma.
