Michael Thomas Trolls NFL for Picking Ref From Last Year's Saints-Rams Disaster to Officiate Super Bowl LIV
By Michael Luciano
Super Bowl LIV will be officiated by a referee crew led by Bill Vinovich, who remains a wanted man in New Orleans after failing to call pass interference on Rams corner Nickell Robey-Coleman that ultimately sent LA to the Super Bowl.
Sainst record-setting wide receiver Michael Thomas, still understandably peeved that he was denied a shot at the Lombardi trophy, didn't even try to mask his disdain for Vinovich.
Vinovich was given the coveted Super Bowl LIV spot because of a scoring system that had his crew graded out as the absolute best across all of football.
Thomas and the fans down in New Orleans can kick and scream all they want, but Vinovich is the best in the business. Sometimes accidents, like that one infamous call, happen.
Last year was ugly, but Vinovich has proven to be one of the more consistent refs across the league over the last few years, and he was rewarded with yet another Super Bowl appearance. The Super Bowl could be a perfect chance to restore his reputation.
