Saints WR and Ohio State Alum Michael Thomas Takes Shot at Roger Goodell During OSU-Michigan Game

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was shown on FOX's telecast during the rivalry showdown between Ohio State and Michigan Saturday, and if you know anything about the guy, it comes as no surprise that football fans weren't overly excited to see him.
Even active players showed their disdain for the Commish being in attendance. New Orleans Saints wide receiver and former Buckeyes star Michael Thomas took a shot right at him, tweeting "Don't ever invite Roger to the horseshoe."
Tell us how you really feel, Michael!
The jokes and shots are just the inevitable byproduct of Goodell choosing to show his face in public. Now, we wait and see if he gets some absurd suspension or fine for those brave enough to suggest he should never have come to Columbus.
But in all seriousness, Thomas' tweet speaks volumes about just how polarizing Goodell is, no matter how lighthearted his comment may have been. The fact that Thomas doesn't even want him attending games at his old stomping ground shows the rift between league and its players.
Goodell has often been criticized for how he handles disciplinary action in the league, and this year has been especially trying. The now-infamous brawl between the Browns and the Steelers certainly didn't provide respite.
Even when he's just out trying to enjoy some college football, he just can't escape the fact that he's not well-liked by too many constituencies that don't include NFL owners.
