Michigan Baseball Sends Perfect Comeback Tweet to Creighton After Reaching College World Series
By Ryan Flores
The University of Michigan baseball team's social media manager deserves a raise.
On May 29, Creighton University shared a plane ride with Michigan to Corvallis, where they would face off in the Oregon State regional. They participated in some friendly banter, as Creighton pointed out that only one of them would get to come to Omaha. Two weeks later, Michigan's social media team put out an absolute gem of a tweet in response to Creighton.
Michigan wound up tagging Freezing Cold Takes on Twitter in the thread, who promptly retweeted it for all of their 278,000 followers to see. Now the world is reacting to Creighton jumping the gun just a bit too early.
If you haven't been keeping up with the NCAA tournament, Michigan destroyed Creighton in an elimination game 17-6, then beat an incredible UCLA team to advance to their first College World Series since 1984.
Maybe Creighton should take notes from Michigan's social media team. They waited until they dismantled their opponent and reached Omaha, and then engaged in smack talk. Now Creighton is probably regretting ever sending out that tweet.
