VIDEO: Michigan's Matt Schmidt Hits Go-Ahead 9th Inning Home Run vs Vanderbilt
By Mark Powell

Michigan and Vanderbilt have supplied us with some early-season baseball we were in dire need of. The No. 1-ranked Commodores gave up the lead in the ninth inning, when Michigan's Matt Schmidt hit a two-run jack to left field.

Ping! We're far from College World Series season, but they heard that one all the way in Omaha.
Schmidt, a redshirt senior, has been through the motions with Michigan and then some. It's great to see that reward pay off, albeit early in the season. Hopefully for Schmidt's case, there are more big moments to come.
