Michigan Needs to Fire Jim Harbaugh Effective Immediately
By Kevin Aquino

Though Jim Harbaugh's 40-14 record as Michigan head coach is nothing to scoff at, Harbaugh hasn't led the team to anything noteworthy, and the fact that they're getting killed by Big Ten rival Wisconsin doesn't help the case for him to keep his job.
The Wolverines have finished 10-3 three times in the four full seasons that Harbaugh has been at the helm, and for a starving team that hasn't tasted NCAA championship glory since 1997, that just isn't going to cut it.
It’s officially panic time for Michigan and the Jim Harbaugh era. Wolverines are getting bullied on both lines of scrimmage, offense looks completely lost, Don Brown’s mystique is gone. Massive problems for Michigan.

Jim Harbaugh Contract
Harbaugh's contract at Michigan goes through the 2021 season, paying him $7 million per year.
The last time Michigan won a Bowl game was in 2015 -- Harbaugh's first season as head coach, which could be pinned as the honeymoon period for the now-55-year-old and his alma mater.
Last season's embarrassing 62-39 loss to Ohio State could very well be the defining moment of Harbaugh's Michigan head coaching career, respectable record and all. Not to mention his porous record against ranked teams.
Under Jim Harbaugh, Michigan has never trailed at any point by 21 points in the first half of a game.

The fact of the matter is, Harbaugh hasn't won anything with the Wolverines and being good isn't going to cut it when the program is supposed to be great. A blowout loss to Wisconsin could -- and probably should -- be the straw that breaks the Wolverines' back.
