Shea Patterson and 10 Other Michigan Players Held Their Own Pro Day in Ohio
By Jack Murphy
As the coronavirus outbreak has caused just about all major sporting events in the near future to be either cancelled or suspended, some athletes have taken matters in their own hands to keep the ball rolling and set up the best possible future for themselves.
Michigan Wolverines quarterback Shea Patterson, along with 10 teammates, put on an unofficial Pro Day to make up for the cancellation of the program's officially scheduled one in Ann Arbor.
This event was held without any pro scouts present, but all the drills were recorded and will be sent to all 32 NFL teams. The players put in a lot of work in preparation for their Pro Day and they did not want to let it go to waste, so they decided to use technology to their advantage.
According to Michael Rothstein, Some of the drills the Wolverines partook in were the three-cone drill and the shuttle, they also completed a passing workout.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the university had no choice but to play it safe and cancel all sporting events. This has not stopped every Wolverine from showing out in hopes of achieving their NFL dreams, however. With enough luck, today's virtual showcase will pay off for them.
