Mickey Callaway and Tim Healey Set to Meet Face-to-Face After Embarrassing Incident on Sunday
By Parker White

It hasn't been a good 24 hours for New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway, as not only did he lose a tough game on Sunday to the Chicago Cubs, but he got into a confrontation with Newsday beat reporter Tim Healey.
The club has rightly come out and condemned his actions. On Monday, Callaway is set to meet face-to-face with Healey to hopefully resolve this spat.
Mets plan to get Mickey Callaway and Newsday Mets beat writer Tim Healey in a room together today. Good idea. Hopefully, Tim won’t say anything incendiary such as “See you tomorrow, Mickey”

As long as Healey doesn't wish Callaway a nice day, this should clear the air and everything should go just fine.
It shouldn't be hard for Callaway to apologize. Just do the right thing and then move on.

You can believe two things at once in this case. It was wrong for Callaway to lose his cool and snap on a reporter who was just doing his job, but you can also try to understand the frustration he was feeling in that moment.
At the end of the day, however, the Mets skipper knows he has to be more professional and can't be so immature. He's lucky he still has a job, but an incident like this only gives New York more of a reason to potentially can him. He owes Healey and NYM fans everywhere an apology.
