Mike Evans Calls Kyler Murray the Best High School Football Player Ever After Checking the Stats
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been an elite prospect all his life. The journey began in Allen, TX where the 2019 No. 1 overall pick attended Allen High School. That's where he dominated opposing teams before ever reaching the college or pro ranks.
Murray had mind-blowing stats while in high school that rival what anyone has ever done at that level. A tweet highlighted a few of his legendary stats, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, who is also a Texas native, declared Murray to be the GOAT of Texas high school football and, therefore, high school football in general.
The Bucs receiver used deductive reasoning by saying Texas high school football is the best in the country and that quarterback is the toughest position, Therefore, Murray must be the greatest of all time.
The stats make the case even stronger. Murray went undefeated en route to winning three state titles and had 186 total touchdowns in three seasons. His senior season saw him throw 54 touchdowns and rush for 25.
Such a claim from Evans will surely stir up debate in the state of Texas and all around the country. It is just hard to argue after seeing Murray's 43-0 record and the amount of production he put up in only three seasons. Don't forget he was also a top baseball prospect at the same time. The two-time Mr. Texas Football winner could do it all, and Evans had to show respect as a fellow Texan.
