Mike Leach is one of the notorious coaches in all of college football. Ever since his days at Texas Tech, he's been no stranger to controversy, out-of-nowhere comical remarks, and everything in between.

While his track record is solid and his coaching ability is lauded for the most part, his latest move has many rethinking whether he's fit to coach for the long haul in this era, as he enacted a full ban on social media for his Washington State players until the end of the season.

If Leach feels like banning his players from using social media was necessitated because his guys were too distracted by it, then so be it-- but it's not helping them win any more games, as they still lost their first game after the ban was enacted.

If there's any team that's benefitted from Leach's implosion, it's none other than the Tennessee Vols. As terrifyingly atrocious as their season has been this year, just imagine if Mike Leach was at the helm of that team and enacted some sort of bogus social media ban there? It would run the risk of making lowly morale even worse.

Leach was incredibly close to becoming the Vols' coach during their disastrous 2017 head coach search, but the program ultimately decided to go a different route and ink Jeremy Pruitt. Thank goodness for that; there's no way college football could've handled that marriage.
