Mike Leach Gets in Twitter Feud With Followers Over Mitt Romney and Deletes Tweets

Welcome to the SEC, Mike Leach. Now that he's with Mississippi State, don't think for a second 'The Pirate' will be changing his ways on Twitter.
While with Washington State, Leach would consistently tweet out his support for Donald Trump, and never backed down from someone who opposed his political views. That continued on Wednesday night, with Leach going after Mitt Romney after the Senator broke party lines and voted to convict Trump on Wednesday. After getting in some arguments with people who replied, he then deleted all those posts.
However, it's 2020, and the screenshot is a powerful thing.
And we’re back to “just asking the question” and “debate me” at 3 am pic.twitter.com/HtqlNliTJR

Oh, Mike. His reaction came after Romney was part of the vote to hold Trump accountable for his various alleged crimes. Since this news was made public, Romney has been bombarded with attacks all over social media.
In a stunning twist, Donald Trump Jr. actually had a calm and collected response for the Twitter world to see. Kidding.
Mitt Romney is forever bitter that he will never be POTUS. He was too weak to beat the Democrats then so he’s joining them now.

He’s now officially a member of the resistance & should be expelled from the @GOP.
While Leach's comments weren't as aggressive, he made it perfectly clear he's not a fan of Romney's right now. The fact that Leach ended up having an argument with his followers over this isn't the best of looks for the new MSU head man, and we're guessing his athletic director will be calling him in for a meeting.
No one can question the offensive genius that is Mike Leach. Maybe, just maybe, though, it's best not to go after politicians on Twitter when you're the new face of a major university in the SEC.
