Mike McCarthy Reveals Kellen Moore Will Call Plays for Cowboys in 2020
By Michael Luciano
The Dallas Cowboys chose to hold on to hotshot offensive coordinator Kellen Moore after parting ways with Jason Garrett, and Mike McCarthy is entrusting a great deal of responsibility in his baby-faced savant.
The 31-year-old Moore will be calling the plays in Dallas next year, despite McCarthy having held that responsibility during his tenure with the Packers.
The neophyte OC led the Cowboys to the sixth-highest scoring offense across all of football, and quarterback Dak Prescott was second in the league in passing yards while setting a new career high in yards per attempt and passing touchdowns.
Moore joins the likes of former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan and former Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin on McCarthy's first coaching staff in Dallas.
Moore might have been unfairly viewed as someone that has an almost fetishistic view of throwing the football at the expense of utilizing the ground attack, but Ezekiel Elliott still touched the ball 355 times in 2019. He is quickly gaining traction as one of the hottest names in the coordinating game, and this year could be his ideal chance to show off what he's made of.
