Mike McGlinchey and Joe Staley are the X-Factors for the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV
By Michael Luciano

The San Francisco 49ers, by virtue of having a loaded roster at basically every position, aren't discussed enough for having one of the strongest offensive lines in football, bookended by star tackles Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey.
The duo will have to shoulder more of a burden than any other 49ers player as they prepare to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV.

Raheem Mostert was a force against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game, but even fans could have run through some of the holes provided for him.
Staley and McGlinchey have a vital role in setting the edge for Kyle Shanahan's patented outside zone runs, and it'll been nearly impossible for Mostert to get going without the benefit of those stretch runs.
If Jimmy Garoppolo does need to drop back and throw it, the pair remain two of the best pass-blocking offensive linemen in the game.

Garoppolo's numbers under pressure are frighteningly lower than when he's kept clean, so that duo will need to keep him cool and collected in the pocket.
If the outside zone isn't working, and if the skittish Garoppolo has Chris Jones and Frank Clark in his face all game long, San Francisco's odds of winning their sixth Super Bowl will go down the drain. Staley and McGlinchey have a tough task ahead of them, but they've proven themselves during these playoffs.
