Steelers Fans Should Jump for Joy Over Mike Tomlin's Latest Rave About Benny Snell
The Pittsburgh Steelers started over at running back once Le'Veon Bell decided to sit out the entire 2018 season. His absence allowed James Conner to thrive and 2019 saw the addition of Benny Snell Jr.
Conner dealt with injuries last year and Snell stepped in, finishing the year with 426 yards. There is now uncertainty whether the team will give Conner a new contract in 2021 and that means Snell could be his heir apparent. Head coach Mike Tomlin is already hyping up the young back this offseason.
Tomlin believing Snell will take a big leap in his second season is great news for Steelers fans. That would mean the offense would have two talented backs in Conner and Snell paired up with a returning Ben Roethlisberger.
Snell has a chance to become the running back of the future in Pittsburgh and it is clear the team feels the same way. Now he has to prove he is worth the hype in 2020.
