Mike Zimmer's Daughter Corri Takes Veiled Shot at Vikings for Not Giving Her Dad a New Contract on IG Story

While the Minnesota Vikings have spent the offseason dealing with their Stefon Diggs problem and making sure quarterback Kirk Cousins is taken care of long-term, they have done little with regards to signing head coach Mike Zimmer to an effective contract extension.
Zimmer's daughter Corri joined in the chorus of Vikings fans demanding their head coach get a new deal, as her Instagram story cited all of Zimmer's accomplishments as Vikings head coach as justification for a new contract.
After inheriting a mess from Leslie Frazier, Zimmer turned them around almost immediately. His 7-9 record in 2014 was the only time he has been under .500. Furthermore, he has made the playoffs three times in the last five years, even making the NFC Championship despite the likes of Cousins, Sam Bradford, and Case Keenum splitting time at quarterback.
Zimmer's sustained success over the last half-decade has ended up with him winning the third-most games in Vikings history, trailing only the late Dennis Green and the legendary Bud Grant. He might be a tad on the gruff side, but he has proven he is clearly one of the most consistent head coaches in football, and he deserves to be rewarded with a new contract because of that pedigree.
Zygi Wilf has to realize what Zimmer means to this team, and giving him a new contract after weeks of ambivalence would be a sign that Minnesota expects to contend for the next few seasons.
