Mike Zimmer Provides Optimistic Injury Update on Dalvin Cook Ahead of Vikings-Packers Clash
By Ian Anderson
It looks like fans will be in for a treat during next week's edition of Monday Night Football.
On Monday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told reporters that star running back Dalvin Cook should be good to go against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 despite suffering a shoulder injury against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In what might be Minnesota's most important game of the season, they cannot afford to be without the key to their offense. Getting Cook back would be a huge boost for a team that still has NFC North title aspirations.
Hampered by injuries for two straight seasons, Cook has finally been healthy for all of this year and has finally lived up to expectations since coming out of Florida State.
Cook received the highest amount of Pro Bowl votes among all players (aside from the quarterbacks), which proves just how impactful he's been in 2019. He currently ranks seventh in the league in rushing yards and is tied for third with 13 touchdowns on the season.
If he can stay healthy, Cook will make the Vikings a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs come January.
