Mike Zimmer Trolled Aaron Rodgers With Comments After Packers Drafted Jordan Love
Countless people across the country remain stunned the Green Bay Packers moved up in the first round on Thursday night to draft Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. There's a guy named Aaron Rodgers you've probably heard of who still has plenty of gas left in the tank for GB.
Everyone and their brother thought Brian Gutekunst and the Packers' front office would go with a receiver. Nope, they didn't, and Rodgers is undoubtedly annoyed (one would assume) by how things played out.
Leave it to Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer to add more fuel to the fire.
Retire? Come on, Mike...that's a troll no one needs to deliver to poor AR12 right now. He probably thought he'd be getting a new offensive weapon on the outside to throw to next season. Instead, some hotshot young quarterback is headed to Lambeau Field, with the organization clearly thinking about the future instead of the present.
The Packers went 13-3 last year and were one win away from heading to another Super Bowl. The front office's answer to try and make the leap for 2020 was to use their first pick on a signal caller? It makes no sense.
Thousands probably had the same reaction from above. Green Bay disrespected their veteran QB with this latest move, and Zimmer has only made things worse.
