Miller Lite Reveals Special Edition Cans for Bears' 100th Anniversary
By Scott Rogust
The 100th season of the NFL is nearly two weeks away, and fittingly, the first game will involve the Chicago Bears, who share a similar anniversary.
Chicago will host the rival Green Bay Packers in the season opener at Soldier Field on Sept. 5. So how are the Bears commemorating their 100th year of existence?
According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network, Miller Lite will release special edition "Bears100" cans across the Illinois area. The commemorative 16-ounce cans are available in six-packs and 12-packs.
Now that's a cool looking beer can, which will certainly fly off shelves across the state.
Prior to the Miller Lite announcement, the Bears revealed that they will unveil statues of team founder and coach George Halas and legendary running back Walter Payton on Sept. 3 outside of Soldier Field.
The Chicago Bears have lofty expectations entering their 100th season, as they carry a ridiculously scary defense and a sneaky-good offense coached by Matt Nagy and former Oregon Ducks head coach Mark Helfrich.
If the Bears are to win the Super Bowl this season, expect plenty of these special edition beer cans to be consumed at an unhealthy rate.
