Minnesota Fan's 'Your Mom' College GameDay Sign Hits Wisconsin Where it Hurts

For rivalry week, ESPN's College GameDay was certain to feature fan-made signs that got particularly feisty. Ahead of Minnesota's Big Ten matchup against Wisconsin, banter was always guaranteed.

Golden Gophers fans pulled no punches, with one fan holding a sign directed at the Badgers that read, "Your mom called...you left your game at home!"

There are levels to this. LEVELS.

When in doubt, a "Your mom" joke is always a strong go-to. It instantly makes things uncomfortably personal. There's just no turning back, no matter what comes next.

However, the rivalry hasn't been particularly competitive over the past few years. Even after last year's 37-15 win, Minnesota is just 3-16 since 2000. This time, however, things have a chance to be different.

Both teams are ranked for the first time since 2014, and they've only lost a combined three games this year. Saturday's showdown has a chance to be one of the most exciting clashes between these two midwestern programs in years.
