The Minnesota Twins have added some starting rotation help in the form of two MLB stalwarts who have seen a little bit of everything.

Minnesota has signed former Los Angeles Dodger lefty Rich Hill and former Royals and Athletics right-hander Homer Bailey in an attempt to gear up in 2020 to secure the AL Central for a second consecutive season.

Hill started just 13 games for the Dodgers last season after missing a good portion of the campaign with a forearm injury, but he performed admirably in that time. The southpaw recorded a 2.45 ERA for the season along with a record of 4-1.

Bailey had a decent season last year for both Oakland and the Kansas City Royals, starting a solid 31 games in total and helping the A's on their way to a Wild Card berth. He finished the season with a 13-9 record and a 4.57 ERA.

Both of the contracts offered to these two are quite reasonable for Minnesota's bottom line. When healthy, the 39-year-old Hill remains a capable starting pitcher in particular, though "when" is the key word there.
